| The Rev. Alan Coe Pastor, Mayflower Congregational United Church of Christ, Naples, Fla. Florida Conference Disaster Coordinator since 2001 I have a desire to help others with the gifts that I have. One thing I’m good at is building, including figuring out the overall project design and scope. That appears to run in my family. My maternal grandfather and his siblings built houses. My first disaster rebuilds were with Habitat for Humanity, including while I was pastor of Cross Church in Seguin, Texas. Besides the building, you get to know the homeowner. The whole thing is pastoral ministry that ends up with a house. |
