Solar Dedications for Churches

The installation of solar panels can be a terrific occasion for a congregation to have a special Sun-Day celebration. These celebrations generate meaning and an energizing sense of accomplishment for congregations as members reflect upon the installation as a practice of faith and of caring for God’s creation. Solar panel dedications can additionally be an opportunity to let the community know about a congregation’s values and commitments through both print and television news outlets. Here are a couple of examples of solar dedications:

Litany and Prayer for Solar Dedication (Bethlehem UCC, Evansville, Indiana)

Order of Service for Solar Dedication (First Congregational UCC, Madison, Wisconsin)
