Players and Protagonists in the Kingdom of God
The Rev. Nancy Taylor, senior minister and chief executive officer of Old South Church in Boston, is the featured Holy Week preacher on “Day 1,” the nationally broadcast ecumenical radio program, with sermons Palm Sunday and Easter. The first, on Palm Sunday, March 20, is drawn from the account of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem in Luke 19:28-40. “Palm Sunday has pride of place in all four Gospels because this is the day the followers of Jesus become protagonists — actors and leaders — in the kingdom of God.” Listen in >>
Make March about the Middle East
On March 21 at noon EST, make time for a Global Ministries webinar with Hind Khoury, Kairos Palestine, a movement with a worldwide audience. Khoury represents a voice of Palestinian Christians, a community that is not well known, but one that is experiencing the consequences of occupation as part of Palestinian society. “The Kairos Palestine call of the Palestinian Christians provides a Christian and human answer to how peace can be built, reached and maintained,” Khoury asserts, “a peace that accepts the other and a resistance to evil based on love and non-violence.” Learn more >>
