“I need Thee, O I need Thee.  Every hour I need Thee.  Bless me now, my Savior.  I come to Thee.”

Prayer from Leah Daughtry

Interfaith Day of Prayer

May 7, 2020

I need Thee, O I need Thee.  Every hour I need Thee.  Bless me now, my Savior.  I come to Thee.

Creator God.

Giver of Life.

Lover of my soul.

I need Thee.

You are the One Who sees me, all of me.

You are the One Who knows my voice even when I am silent.

You are the One Who hears me before I cry.

You are the One Who knows the sound of my breath and the rhythm of my heart.

I come to Thee.

In Your Presence, I am loved and loving and in love and love itself.

In Your Presence, I am peace and at peace.

In Your Presence, I am freed and freeing and freedom.

In Your Presence, I am filled and full.

In Your Presence, I am whole, complete, entire, lacking nothing.

I come to Thee.

Bless me now.

Bless me to love You in me, to love myself, and to love others. Especially the easy-to-love. Especially the hard-to-love.

Bless me to hear Your breath in me and in the breath of others. Especially those who are in fellowship with me. Especially those who take a different path.

Bless me to feel Your peace in me and to pray for the peace of others.  Especially those who find You daily. Especially those who search.

Bless me to share Your joy, your grace, your mercy, your justice, and your hope. Especially with myself. Especially with those in whom it abounds. Especially with those who need it most.

Bless me now.

Bless me now.

I come to Thee. Bless me now.

Today and every day. This hour and every hour.

I come to Thee.

Let it be so.

And it is so.

It is so.

It is.

Amen. Amen. Amen.
