General Synod 33 Worship Videos

The 33rd General Synod of the UCC was historic for many reasons, one of which was the multimedia production of three worship services that took place in the year leading up to the event.

These videos are available to download and use, stream, or post for worship and educational programming, as long as they are not edited and all accreditation remains.

Artists and licensing fees have been paid! Your donations to the National Setting will continue supporting important ministries like this!

Blue Christmas

+
Global HOPE Blue Christmas Service 2022
Blue Christmas services traditionally provide space for those who don’t feel so “merry and bright” during the holiday season. This service seeks to recognize and stand in solidarity with the experiences of those aggrieved or displaced by disaster or forced migration in 2022– from Kentucky to Ukraine and beyond. (Recorded December 5, 2022)
Near the Brokenhearted
In this special Christmas service, we acknowledge pain and mourning during the holiday season and lift up prayers for hope, peace, and affirmation that God “is near the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit” [Psalm 34:18]. (Recorded December 22, 2022)

Advent Resources for Group Reflection

Weekly Seeds (Year A: November 27 – December 24, 2022)

+

Weekly Seeds is a United Church of Christ resource for Bible study based on the readings of the Revised Common Lectionary, a plan for weekly Bible readings in public worship used in Protestant, Anglican, and Roman Catholic churches throughout the world. When we pray with and study the Bible using the Lectionary, we are praying and studying with millions of others.

You’re welcome to use this resource in your congregation’s Bible study groups.

Advent Resources for Personal Reflection

Each reflection will also include original artwork by Dr. Yohana Junker, Brazilian-born artist and theologian.
