Racial Justice Journey Workshops

Immersing in Practices of Antiracism and/or Antibias

Racial justice journey workshops skillfully build a common analysis and shared vocabulary for people of faith to dismantle racism in their hearts, congregations, communities, and the wider world. Racial justice workshops move beyond content to suggest both in praxis and design that racial justice is a movement towards antiracism and antibias beliefs and behaviors. This sacred journey work equips and empowers people of faith to create learning communities within congregations to embody Good News that racial justice matters to God.

“It is difficult to express how this racial justice journey has affected me in terms of my personal, spiritual, and psychological being. To be clear, it is the most difficult course of study I have ever participated in, and it has been the most liberating. This is sacred work. I appreciated and valued being with others committed to dismantling racism, correcting colonial narratives of supremacy, and disrupting racial capitalism. This is God’s call for all of us to do our internal. It requires a commitment to study, a listening heart, a desire to share what you’ve learned and an immense amount of humility. I promise you will never be the same.”—Rev. Clare Twomey
