God, there is so much weighing on our world and our nation.
We are overwhelmed by cruelty, exhausted by injustice, and wounded by fear.
Pour out your mercy where hatred has taken root.
Breathe love where racism hardens hearts. Speak truth where bigotry distorts our shared humanity.
Heal the harm of homophobia and every way dignity is denied.
Where there is hate, grant pardon.
Where there is racism, grant pardon. Restore us, make us instruments of courageous peace, and bring your kin-dom here on earth as it is in heaven.
Teach us to love as you love.
Amen.
