God, we intercede for those whose lives have been shattered by violence. For those grieving the loss of loved ones, wrap them in Your arms of compassion. For those living in fear, be their refuge and stronghold. Prince of Peace, begin Your work in us. Too often we harbor anger, resentment, and pride. Teach us the way of humility, the way of listening, the way of forgiveness. Lord Jesus, You once stilled the storm with a word. Speak that same word now into the storms that rage within us and around us. We ask this in the name of the one who is our peace—Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
