Living Psalm 95

Living Psalms Book
Psalms in the form of words and art, reborn in the specific contexts of our world, privileging the voices of historically marginalized communities and those acting in solidarity with them.
Come together to praise.
We lift our voices to God and hum a sweet melody to the one we can depend.
Come together with gratitude.
We lift our thankful hearts to God, opening our mouths and singing a love song to the one who first loved us.
Come together to marvel.
We stand in awe of God’s vastness. God is big and beautiful. Greater than any king. Above any god of this world.
Come together to wonder.
We give praise for God’s greatness. In one hand God holds the tallest mountains and in another the raging sea. God’s reach knows no limit for the universe rests in the palm of God’s hands.
Come together in humility.
We follow God’s lead, bowing before our Creator. We are merely sheep and God is our shepherd, leading and protecting us.
Come together to listen.
We hear the good news. Our minds are open and our hearts are softened.
Come together to learn.
We learn from history and honor the God who redeems our struggle. We will not repeat the mistakes of the past. We will not grieve the loving heart of our God.
Come together to rest.
We remain true to the calling and faithful to the way of love. May our hearts remain pure that we might enter Yahweh’s shalom. Amen.
