Living Psalm 47 – Ascension Day

Living Psalms Book
Psalms in the form of words and art, reborn in the specific contexts of our world, privileging the voices of historically marginalized communities and those acting in solidarity with them.
Sing Praise to all that is holy,
Move your bodies in rhythm to the beat.
For God is stronger, wiser, bigger than all,
Gentler, kinder, worthy of awe,
God has lifted up those who are in the muck,
And humbled those in unrighteous power.
God knows and loves our lines all the way back,
Our ancestors and the resilience of generations.
Sound the trumpet! String the guitar!
Beat the drums, and sing hard:
Our God, is an awesome God,
They rule with love out front, with
Wisdom power and love,
our God is an awesome God.
clap, clap AGAIN
Our God, is an awesome God,
Sing Praise, and dance around,
We raise, our voices loud:
Our God is an awesome God.
clap, clap!
Selah.
