Prayer from Pernessa Seele

Interfaith Day of Prayer

May 7, 2020

Father Mother God, it is with humble hearts that we come to you with a praise of Thanksgiving for keeping us in the midst of this turbulent storm. So often we feel we are succumbing to the tidal waves of tremendous loss and sorrow; restlessness of mind and body; and uncertainty of our tomorrow.

But God, we will continue to stand firmly on the words of Apostle Paul as he wrote in the Book of Romans, For we are persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, can separate us from your love and from your keeping.

Dear God, right now, draw us closer to you. Strengthen our hearts so that we can keep our minds stay on your goodness and on your protection. Send fresh your anointing of grace and mercy upon those who believe, yet doubt your presence. Guide us, Father Mother God, always with your light so that men and women will see you and your glory through all that we do and all that we are.

Dear God, we offer this prayer in the name and through the Power that is in the Name of your son, Jesus, Our Christ and Savior. AMEN.
