UCC passes 10k participants in Kindland’s 250 Acts of Kindness campaign

Earlier this year, the United Church of Christ partnered with the Values in Action foundation to encourage everyone in the U.S. to join the United States of Kindness (USK) movement, and commit to completing 250 acts of kindness, celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States. As we near the last quarter of 2026, the UCC has over 10,000 participants signed up to commit these acts of kindness, spreading kindness across the land! The UCC has set a goal to commit to over 15,000 by year’s end.

Stuart Muszynski, founder and CEO of Values-in-Action and the Kindland movement said this is a wonderful achievement. “The UCC has helped turn the United States of Kindness from an idea into action,” he said. “To surpass 10,000 participants in over 100 cities within the UCC community is remarkable because each one represents someone willing to make kindness visible. That is how kindness spreads, one person choosing to act and another being inspired to do the same.”

The most recent figures show that the UCC has 10,224 U.S. of Kindness participants to date. The top 5 states are Connecticut, Ohio, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

Many UCC churches and congregation members have already made a pledge to join. There is no cost involved. Registration may be completed HERE.
