UCC News shares a refreshed look for readers
News and the way it’s disseminated is always changing. As of this week, there are some changes to the United Church of Christ News webpage and News Digest.
The refreshed look for readers debuts as the National Ministries’ Marketing and Communications staff continues the long tradition of bringing the latest information to UCC members in, previously print, and now digital journalism.
The news logo has been tweaked and given a fresh look, as well as the layout of the UCC News page. Readers will still find the latest articles at the top of the page, along with a new navigation menu, and a collection of UCC columns, podcasts, and regularly updated ministry resources are all in one place.
UCC in the News is highlighted as readers scroll down the page. Blogs, the Daily Devotional, buttons for Sermon Seeds, podcasts, and other favorite pages are also clearly linked.
“The refresh of UCC News speaks to our commitment to deepening our engagement with our readers by expanding our different content offerings and bringing our many news resources together in one place. UCC News is not changing, necessarily, rather, we’re highlighting our strengths while introducing new ways in which we engage with and tell the stories of the church,” said Charles Jefferson, Jr., director of Marketing and Communications for the UCC National Ministries.
“Updating our News webpage to better showcase the variety of ways we communicate and tell stories at the National Ministries of the UCC is just one step in a larger plan for improving the user experience on ucc.org,” offered Aidan Spencer, web operations manager.
