Re-launched National Youth Event site filled with information and more
The National Youth Event website relaunches Nov. 20 with a new, easy-to-use format, plus agenda and pricing updates.
NYE 2016, the first time the event is partnering with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), takes place July 26-30, 2016, at Walt Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort Hotel in Buena Vista, Fla. It also is the first time the event takes place on a non-college campus. In addition to workshops and plenary sessions, NYE 2016 also will include social justice immersion experiences and youth educational events on cultural diversity.
Undergirding the event is the theme “Believe,” which organizers see as a charge or call to action, and the Bible passage Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the confidence that what we believe will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”
The house band serving NYE 2016 will be a unique combination of two groups: Glocal, a group combining Asian, African, and Latin music along with blues, hip-hop and international music; and Tribe of Judah, an intergenerational, energetic and diverse ensemble.
