Holy God

May peace not just be a calming idea

But a real promise

Known in our bodies.

It feels like the time has past;

There’s overwhelm and anguish and despair

Intervene on behalf of your children.

Make this senseless warring stop.

And from the dust and rubble

May we wake up.

Wake up to peace.

Now.
