Nurturing God, we are out of words for our disdain for the state of our world. In the midst of our dismay, remind us of your vision and the corresponding purpose you have for each of us. Guide the church into a season of renewal focused on the dignity and rights of all. Liberate us from our complacency so that we may serve you and find a path forward together. In a time in which peace is presented as a fanciful and impractical dream, empower each of us to recognize the pragmatism of peace. May the slightest hints of hope motivate us to recommit ourselves to your constant call for compassion.
