Loving and challenging God,

We hear and see and know the words and actions and teachings of Jesus, and you call us—you nudge us—to emulate them.

We see the destruction of your good creation. We see the plight of our siblings in Haiti, Palestine, and Ukraine, and in so many places in the world. We see the plight of our transgender siblings. We hear the voices of those who cry out, O God, those we know and those we do not know.

Challenge us to respond. Guide us over and over again to heed Jesus’ justice-loving and peacemaking claim on, now and always. Amen.
