Kimberly Wood

2025 (Appointed CCM)

Reverend Kimberly Wood (2025, Appointed CCM) is the Conference Minister of the Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ.

Rev. Wood has served as a pastor in the UCC for 30 years. She earned her M.Div. from Bethany Theological Seminary. She has held several positions as a local church pastor and was an Associate Conference Minister in the Illinois Conference prior to her arrival in the SECUCC. Rev. Wood has held leadership roles at the local, regional, and national levels of the United Church of Christ. She has worked with congregations around issues of inclusivity and church transformation. She is an advocate and activist for LGBTQI and gender justice, racial justice, and workers justice.  She holds a certificate in Community Organizing and was an ONA Consultant for more than 15 years. Kim serves as a member of the Council of Conference Ministers Cabinet and sits on the Board of Directors for PATHWAYS Theological Education, Inc., She believes that it is essential to magnify and expand the voice of the UCC in the South and to develop broad space for the voices of youth and young adults to not only be seen and included in the church, but to lead.

Kim and her spouse, Ron, live in Huntsville, AL. They have eight adult children, four by birth and their spouses/partners, as well as two grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with family, hanging out on mountaintops and by the water, and using their creativity and DYI skills to renovate their home.
