‘Go tell it on the mountain’: Christmas blessings from the General Minister and President
As Christmas day approaches, Christ is born again into the world.
The United Church of Christ General Minister and President the Rev. Karen Georgia Thompson offers Christmas blessings with a message that uplifts “the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace” in Isaiah 52:7.
“Dark days and worries, our fears surround us. Grief accompanies many throughout the season,” Thompson says. “Yet the moment still comes when we know that the light which overcomes all darkness has come again. The message, which is of love for all God’s people, cannot be contained.
“And wonderful is the messenger who shares that love with others.”
Christmas blessings to all this holiday season from the United Church of Christ, and peace in the New Year.
