A Prayer of Love: December 23

Let us pray:

Compassionate Spirit,
Be with our nation as we struggle with the exceptionalism of individualism.
Be with those who lead, that they may use power and privilege wisely, compassionately, and with attentiveness to the least of these.
And in the name of One who widened the table for more people, representation, welcome, and care:

Hold us accountable to raise up leaders who reflect the people we already are–in age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, ability, and geographic roots. Amen
