Keep Kindness Going in 2026
Now in the final months of 2026, both the United Church of Christ and the Values in Action Kindland teams want to keep the kindness campaign going. Together, both have spent this year building the United States of Kindness through acts that inspire others to do the same.

So far, 35 states including Washington, D.C. are represented with participants who have signed up for the 250 acts of kindness challenge this year. This has resulted in at least 49,500 Acts of Kindness committed by 13,167 people across the country! The 250 Acts of Kindness Challenge gave us a place to start–and it is possible to still sign up. Wherever you are in the challenge, there is still time to add acts of kindness, whether that is just one or 250. Start where you are and do something kind. Share it with others so they may be inspired to do the same.

Make kindness your intention for the rest of 2026!
The more visible we make kindness, the more contagious it becomes. Share an act of kindness you did or witnessed, or a story or quote that inspired you. Tag @USofKindness on social media so we can help spread the word or submit a picture/summary on this website: https://www.usofkindness.org/share-an-act-of-kindness and it will be posted for you. What you share could give someone else the idea or encouragement to do the same.

Kindness Wednesday is coming!
And keeping kindness in mind, Kindland is excited to announce a new initiative: Kindness Wednesday, which will launch on December 2! Following Giving Tuesday, Kindness Wednesday is a simple invitation for people, schools, businesses and organizations across the country to begin the season of giving with the free gift of Kindness. As the United States of Kindness challenge comes to a close, Kindness Wednesday gives people across the country one more opportunity to put kindness into action.

There are a few easy ways to get involved:
1. Help spread the word about Kindness Wednesday
Share the Kindness Wednesday “Mark Your Calendar” post before December 2nd.
We hope you will join us for the first ever Kindness Wednesday. You can learn more at https://www.usofkindness.org/kindness-wednesday and sign up to get reminders and tools to help spread the good word!
