2026 Summer Communities of Service Program Application and Details Here!
Summer Communities of Service (SCOS) is a faith-based service program for young adults aged 19-30 to work with a nonprofit or community-serving agency and a local United Church of Christ congregation for 10 weeks during the summer. SCOS interns engage in work that serves the common good while living in community and receiving skills training, spiritual reflection, vocational discernment support, community-building experience and a deeper understanding of the social, historical and intersectional justice context in the communities where they serve.
SCOS provides interns with room and board, travel expenses to and from their work location, health insurance during dates of service if needed, and a $1500 stipend. More details listed in application description: Apply here through the April 24 deadline.
The Summer Communities of Service program is offered through a collaboration between participating churches, partner organizations and the United Church of Christ Global HOPE Team.
