General Synod rocks out Cleveland during Saturday dance
General Synod attendees, both young and old, put on their dancing shoes and took to the floor Saturday night during the Great Big Synod Dance, the first time, but most likely not the last time the biennial gathering hosts a dance party.
The Ovation Band, which has a combined 100 years of experience in the entertainment industry, played everything from swing to salsa to rock for three hours, and certainly kept the crowd moving. The June 27 event tied together General Synod programming and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a popular Cleveland attraction.
