God of all mercy and compassion,
We confess that violence done to one of your children is violence done to you.
We confess that when one of your creation is made a victim, you become a victim.
We confess that, in Jesus Christ, You have shared our common lot and have called us to be One.
Renew us, Lord. For the sake of all creation, stand against us if we stand against peace.
May those with swords put them down.
Beat our swords into ploughshares, so that our work may bring life and not death.
May your good and perfect will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
Let there be peace.
