We ask You to give us more light so we can see You
We need to see where You are in what we see as only chaos
-in the rubble of the flight that went down in India
Where folks whom you love are dead, & families are mourning
We ask for your light, because we can’t see you through the debris
We are weary
-in the streets of Los Angeles
Where folks whom you love are destroying each other
We ask for Your light because we can’t see You past the human barricades
We are weary
You told us that you will give us rest if we come to you
So here we are, coming to you, we are wearily asking
for holy light
