O God, we are surrounded by the noise and messiness of the world. Too often, we become overwhelmed by unease, fear, and resignation. And, yet, when we center ourselves in your promises, we are reminded that you are the one we should trust in. Your love is more powerful than the hate and the violence that are so prevalent today. Help us, in these difficult times, to hold fast to your promises. Strengthen our faith and empower us to be your light and love in this world. May this light and love shine through us, overcoming hatred, mistrust and greed. May it bring about peace for all. Amen.
