Celebrate in 2013: General Synod heads to Long Beach July 5, 2011
Members of the Southern California Nevada Conference of the United Church of Christ danced around the room waving signs that said, “Join the Celebration, Long Beach, 2013” as delegates and visitors joined in singing Kool and the Gang’s hit song “Celebration.”
Outgoing Collegium members released; new moderators installed July 5, 2011
Using liturgy found in the Book of Worship of the United Church of Christ, delegates and visitors to General Synod 28 were able to offer thanks, praise, and prayer one more time to outgoing Collegium members, and to witness to the installation of the moderators for the 2011-2013 biennium.
