To create space for thoughtful dialogue around a difficult issue, Local Church Ministries, as part of the UCC’s multimedia campaign tied to the denomination’s core mission, develops a discussion guide tied to the popular film ‘Spotlight,’ which brings into focus the serious problem of sexual abuse of children, teens and adults by church leaders.

Healthy Boundaries for Ministry
As a spiritual teacher, it’s important to understand the importance of healthy boundaries in ministry. Spend five weeks with the Rev. Dr. Marie Fortune of the FaithTrust Institute, in partnership with the Center for Progressive Renewal, to learn strategies to discern boundaries in pastoral relationships, and develop best practices and guidelines for developing those boundaries and other necessary self-care strategies.
