Living Psalm 150 Breaking the Silence

Living Psalms Book
Psalms in the form of words and art, reborn in the specific contexts of our world, privileging the voices of historically marginalized communities and those acting in solidarity with them.
Living Psalm 150 (Breaking the Silence) Moira Finley
I think I prefer
a quieter praise,
all those trumpets
and clanging
unsettle my already
unsettled spirit,
frayed at the edges
from the trauma of living
in the body of a survivor,
And that is, of course,
the sanctuary
from which I can offer
the praise I have,
quietly, patiently,
because,
despite it all,
I am still filled
with the breath of Life.
