UCC GMP issues statement on U.S. bombing of Iranian nuclear sites
Rev. Karen Georgia Thompson, General Minister and President/CEO of the United Church of Christ shares an important message of peace and uniting following the United States bombing the Iranian nuclear sites of Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. The ongoing war between Iran and the Houthis against Israel and the United States began on June 13, when Israel launched several surprise attacks on Iranian military and nuclear facilities. As of the publication of this article, the US Department of State issued a worldwide security alert, advising American citizens to take caution, and be aware of potential anti-American demonstrations and interests abroad.
