Strengthen the Church materials now available ahead of May 19 day of giving
The United Church of Christ Strengthen the Church (STC) Offering reflects the shared commitment of people across the UCC to cooperatively build up the church. Conferences and the national setting equally share the gifts given by members and friends through their local congregations. The funds raised support leadership development, new churches, youth ministry, and innovation in existing congregations. Most congregations will receive the STC offering on Pentecost Sunday, May 19.
The Rev. Aaron Wade, minister for congregational leadership development, granting and scholarships, encourages generosity. “Each donation to our Strengthening the Church Fund is a seed of hope sown into fertile ground,” he said.
“Through your generous hearts, you have empowered both new and rebirthing churches, guiding them toward financial sustainability with four-year grants. Your contributions are not just gifts; they are legacies, ensuring that our churches can continue to serve and uplift communities across the nation.”
Wade continued, “I thank you for your continued support and faith in the mission of the Strengthening the Church Fund. Together, we are nurturing the growth of ministries that touch lives and transform futures. Let us keep the spirit of giving alive, for in strengthening our churches, we are truly strengthening our future.”
Most congregations will receive the STC offering on Pentecost Sunday, May 19, 2024. Contributions can be made online at any time here.
