Gracious and loving Creator,

We seek you, amidst the stress and anxiety of our upcoming election. We are saddened by the division it has brought us. We find ourselves searching for a way to narrow this divide.

Help us to recognize our commonality, the hopes and dreams we all share, regardless of what we each believe would be the best path to take to achieve those goals. Let that be the starting point of meaningful dialogue that will lead to healing.

Calm our frustrations, remind us to love one another, and fill our speech with words of compassion and understanding. Amen.
