Climate Hope Cards Headed for Delivery

On October 13th, a delegation of UCC laity and clergy are scheduled to deliver more than 7,500 petition postcards to the staff of the Environmental Protection Agency. Among the delegation will be the 16-year-old winner of the Climate Hope Art Contest whose art appears on the front of the postcards. EPA staff will discuss with the delegation its concerns about the EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Standards and Guidelines for Fossil Fuel-Fired Power Plants as well as the EPA’s Clean Trucks Plan.

The postcards that will be delivered were collected with the help of the following churches, conferences, and camps from across the country:
