Living Psalm 1 Higher Ed Sunday

Living Psalms Book
Psalms in the form of words and art, reborn in the specific contexts of our world, privileging the voices of historically marginalized communities and those acting in solidarity with them
Someone told us that we needed to carry this faith generation to generation.
You, God?
You, Ancestors?
The roots of belonging, of welcome, of possibility: Carry them.
So we mediate, we scheme, we pray, we speak, we preach, we teach.
Happy are we who hold forth the ways of the Lord.
Some will take our faith and co-opt it to Nationalism, to fit the needs of Power.
But we know that God is bigger than the wicked. God is clear in our charge to Love.
The roots of our faith are like trees planted near water,
offering fruit for times like these, harvest for when hope is achingly distant.
God watches over we who carry and teach the faith this generation to the next.
God blesses our work, that our children and grandchildren may know God’s Love.
Selah.
