Psalm 25: A Reimagining

Holy One,
I place my trust in you.

When fear grows loud
and the path ahead feels uncertain,
teach me the way of right relationship.

Not the way of dominance,
but the path of humility.

Not the way of extraction,
but the practice of gratitude.

Help me remember
that I do not walk alone.

I travel beside those who came before me
and those whose footsteps
will follow after mine.

Teach me your truth—

the kind rooted in mercy,
shaped by justice,
and revealed through compassion.

Help me unlearn
the stories that separate us
from one another,
from the earth,
from ourselves.

Guide me toward repair.

Lead me gently,
for you have always been faithful,
calling us back
to belonging.
