An update on the Changes & Deaths list
Many of you — our dedicated readers, viewers and supporters — have reached out over the last several months asking why the Changes & Deaths list hasn’t been updated since last October. Today, we want to provide an explanation for the delay, and let you know how we’re going to update this list going forward.
First, we want to extend our deepest apologies for the delay. We understand how important this timely resource is in notifying the wider church of clergy deaths and changes within congregations. In short, between two organizations’ shifts to new digital platforms and some of the associated policy changes that attend to any such shifts, it took longer than expected to be able to produce these reports in the frequency the wider church is used to.
The Changes and Deaths list is currently up-to-date as of today, and we are working with our Research & Data team, and will share information from the UCC Database and Directories on a monthly basis.
You can view the updates list HERE. We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this delay has caused, and we thank you for your continued support of the UCC and our mission for a more just world for all.
