A call for Prayers for Peace
For the past year and a half, the People’s Prayers for Peace has provided a space for prayers from United Church of Christ members and partners. We received nearly 300 prayers and thank all who offered prayers for the world, for disasters, and for the many issues that affect our lives.
Wars and conflicts continue to escalate around the world. Injustices and inequalities manifest as racism, discrimination, gender-based violence, economic disparities, and other issues at play around us.
The Rev. Karen Georgia Thompson, General Minister and President/CEO of the UCC is calling upon anyone so moved to contribute more in the video below:
CLICK HERE for a special webpage where all submitted prayers will live. This page also houses a form for prayer submissions. This initiative is live and your participation is needed during this season of prayer. Please be sure to bookmark this page, as well as follow social media accounts for daily and weekly prayers from our community and beyond.
