General Synod talk show welcomes first guest: Ceniceros shares the big God picture and how she keeps cool in the Kansas City heat
The UCC news team embraced the spiritual discipline of pivoting when live streaming of GS LIVE, a new talk show produced by UCC News, met with logistical and technical glitches on the opening day of the 35th General Synod.
But as the old show biz saying goes, “The show must go on.” And GS LIVE proceeded as planned, welcoming the Rev. Lorraine Ceniceros, conference minister for the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference, to its inaugural show on July 11.
In the convention center makeshift studio, GS LIVE co-hosts Charles Jefferson, UCC news director, and Donna Frischknecht Jackson, UCC communications specialist, let the cameras roll, recording a spirit-filled conversation where Ceniceros’ shared her thoughts on going into the deep — this year’s Synod’s theme — and where she sees the big God picture.
Ceniceros even showed off her “beloved” fan that has been keeping her cool amid Kansas City’s summer heat.
New episodes of GS LIVE will be posted throughout Synod at ucc.org/news.
