Dear God,
We are thankful that you speak to us through popular music that inspires.
You spoke through John Lennon when he asked us to “Give Peace a Chance;” Bob Marley when he called for “One Love;” Queen Latifah when she declared “U.N.I.T.Y.;” Carole King when she said, “You’ve Got a Friend;” Hal David and Burt Bacharach who wrote, “What the World Needs Now (Is Love, Sweet Love),” and you lovingly shared in Psalm 73:3, ERV, “Let there be peace and justice throughout the land.”
Remind us daily of your lyrics that call us to open our hearts and follow in your ways. Guide us, we pray. Amen.
-Rev. Dr. Sheila Harvey, West Palm Beach, FL
