Five Ways to Connect to a Broader Movement

  1. Join or help establish a creation justice task force for your UCC conference. A resolution at the 30th General Synod specifically encouraged each conference to create a task force dedicated to issues related to fossil fuel use and fracking.
  2. Keep track of what others in the UCC are doing and sign up for “The Pollinator,” the UCC’s environmental justice newsletter.
  3. Connect with the nearest UCC outdoor ministry site or campground. Join with other churches in your conference for a weekend retreat focused on caring for God’s creation.
  4. Partner with other churches in your community to launch a chapter of Climate Hope Affiliates, so that you can effectively advocate with your members of Congress.
  5. Join forces with faith-rooted environmental groups like GreenFaith, your state’s Interfaith, Power, and Light organization, and Creation Justice Ministries.
