  1. Join or help establish an environmental justice task force for your UCC conference. A resolution at the 30th General Synod specifically encouraged dedicated to issues related to fossil fuel use and fracking.
  2. Keep track of what others in the UCC are doing and sign up for “The Pollinator,” the UCC’s environmental justice newsletter.
  3. Connect with the nearest UCC outdoor ministry site or campground. Explore opportunities to participate in an Environmental Justice Training. Do an all-church weekend retreats or consider partnering with another UCC church for a weekend retreat focused on caring for God’s creation.
  4. Participate in the activities of your state’s Interfaith, Power, and Light organization.
  5. Join forces with environmental groups like the Sierra Club or 350.org.
