John Folk

Class of 2023

John Folk (Class of 2023) is the pastor of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania where he has been serving in multiple capacities since 2010. While he loves all aspects of parish ministry, it is in the context of youth and young adult ministry that he finds his greatest passion. In addition to his work at St. Paul’s, John has been active in the life of the Penn Southeast Conference along with the regional and national settings of the United Church of Christ. He currently serves on the board of Bethany Children’s home, the General Synod Implementation Team, PSEC Youth Event Planning Committee, Conference Annual Meeting Planning Team, and Theology with a Twist.

He is a 2013 graduate of Lancaster Theological Seminary, receiving both a Master of Divinity and a certificate in youth and young adult ministry. Prior to serving in parish ministry, John held positions in project & program management, service delivery, loss prevention, operations management, and was the least successful hot dog vendor in the history of Farmer Brown’s Market.

John is married to his husband, Frank Orrs. They share a home that was originally St. Mary’s School, a one-room schoolhouse, in Elverson, Pennsylvania. They love to travel & have four dogs: Joey, Noah, Mr. Beeps, and Tobi-wan-kenobi.
