The power sector also produces a quarter of green house gas emissions in the United States. In the coming months\, there is a significant opportunity to advance environmental justice and put the United States on a path to achieve 100 percent carbon-free electricity by 2035. In 2023\, the Environmental Protection Agency can make desperately needed strides in strengthening protections that will safeguard communities and our future.
