DESCRIPTION:Come hear about and join in the movement of UCCers beginning to become a church of “contemplatives in action\,” inspired by the General Synod 2021 resolution. Presenters include Rev. Matt Carriker and Rev. Darrell Goodwin. Rev. Carriker is co-author of the “Becoming a Church of Contemplatives in Action” Resolution\, Pastor of Agape Spiritual Community in Waltham\, MA\, and just released his first book\, “Giving Christianity Back to Agape Love.” Rev. Darrell Goodwin is the Executive Conference Minister in the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ. As the chief vision-keeper\, communicator and strategist\, Rev. Goodwin is responsible for guiding the Conference in its positive and transformative impact in our world. He also represents the Conference in ecumenical\, interfaith and public gatherings and events.
