SUMMARY:Prayer and Preparation: Introduction to Rapid Response and Embodiment Practices
DESCRIPTION:As the legislative attack on trans and queer persons continue\, hate groups have been emboldened to act publicly.  In recent weeks armed militias\, neo-nazis and violent white supremacists have disrupted public PRIDE festivals and library programing featuring queer people.  We anticipate this kind of organized and armed disruption to continue.   Join Rev. Tracy Howe\, Minister for Congregational and Community Engagement for an introduction to rapid response and embodiment practices to help local church members prepare and respond for this kind of violence.  Topics such as risk assessment\, intervention\, communication and organizing in these scenarios will be addressed. \nAudience: Local church lay leaders and authorized ministers.  ONA congregations. \nTrainer: Rev. Tracy Howe\, Minister for Congregational and Community Engagement
