SUMMARY:Nurture the Soul Special Offering: "What's Next" - Naming the Pain: Unresolved Grief and the Lure of Political Extremism
DESCRIPTION:In most cases\, anger and fear are the emotions most readily associated with Christian Nationalism and other forms of political extremism. Rev. Dr. Tanya Jeffcoat\, however\, will examine the ways in which unresolved grief often plays an underlying role in drawing people to extremist positions. After exploring several expressions of unresolved grief\, she will offer potential approaches for addressing grief and building communities that offer opportunities to heal from the divisions we face.
