How does Jesus calm us in severe storms? By giving us neighbors. By making us environmentalists. By showing us courage in people who come through the big blows.
Is there room in our disagreements for loving kindness as well as faithful rage? Can we practice compassion alongside righteous indignation?
Maybe we don’t all feel called to civil disobedience. But as Christians, we are all called to holy disobedience to disrupt harm, both in the streets and in our churches.
We often read the Bible as if it’s addressed only to individuals. Except it mostly isn’t. How does it change our understanding to know that Scripture’s words are not for us alone?
There is a tomorrow. And if there is a tomorrow, that must mean there is a today. And today is as good a time as any to start again.
