Jury Duty

God, sometimes I am as oblivious and heartless as Saul. Thank you for knocking me off my horse to see how I have hurt you, and your beloveds.

No One

Let us pray for those who have no one to pray for them. For some people, the Spirit's intercession is not Plan B. Her sighs are the only plan to lift their loneliness to God.

The Door Is Still Open

John of Patmos saw an open door in heaven, an open channel through which faith could operate boldly and imaginatively. God has left that door open for each of us.

I Wish I Were a Simpleton

God, for every compromised pleasure I have lost, you have a thousand perfect ones in store. Reveal some to me now, so that I can stop whining. Amen.

Transitions

Ours is a God who knows the journey, who is on the move, who goes ahead of us. You will be upheld. You will be sustained, in your going out and coming in. Trust this.

Spirit Prompts

"The Kin-dom of God needs your Spirit-prompted vision. Do you see trouble? Write it. Beauty? Write that. Solidarity? Write that, too. Or speak it, or draw it, or sculpt it." Read more of today's Daily devotional by John A. Nelson

A Slogan for All Seasons

"God, we remember all workers today. Forgive us for the ways in which we take workers for granted. Give us the courage and wisdom to ensure safe and healthy working conditions for all." Read more of today's Daily devotional by Marilyn Pagán-Banks

Where Are Your Wounds?

"When the risen Jesus appeared to his disciples, he bore his wounds. Are we bearing the wounds of something worth fighting for? They are the sign that we fought the good fight." Read more of today's Daily devotional by Tony Robinson

Superpowers

"It has never been easy to be a follower of Jesus Christ. It was never meant to be. We don't have superpowers, just faith, and it is enough." Read more of today's Daily devotional by Richard L. Floyd
