Psalm 39
Numbers 13:17-27
Luke 13:18-21

When our talents are recognized, everyone wins. We can share our God given talent to the benefit of others and, in the process, feel fulfilled. Amena Cristovao, a 24-year old woman from Lospalos in East Timor, knows that feeling through the help of missionaries Tom and Monica Liddle, and the generosity of St. Paul’s UCC in Duluth, MN.  “Amena had a passion for health care and a desire to learn,” Monica said after noticing her at Clinic Imanuel. “She was also very interested in learning.” Because of the Liddles and donations from St. Pauls, Amena is now in the US to complete the medical laboratory technician program at Lake Superior College in Duluth.  Once she completes the program, Amena will return to East Timor where she will fulfill a three-year contract with Clinic Imanuel. We pray with the Liddles: “O God, it seems everything is in place, and we trust in your plan for Amena. We pray for safekeeping, support for Amena and inspiration for each person Amena touches.”
