Women's ministry in the national setting of the United Church of Christ celebrates women in all their diversity. We cherish and work to be advocates on behalf of all women, lay and clergy, the young and the not as young! We see our task as a sharing one: sharing the incredible strengths and resources found in United Church of Christ women so that we may better be about carrying out God's ministry and mission in the world.
We give thanks that women's ministries is a partnership with each of you. Part of the partnership is hearing from you, through e-mail, regular mail or your responses to our focus inquiry questionnaire. Women are wonderfully creative and we are certain that a great deal is happening in your Conferences, Associations and local churches that would be of interest to other women and we invite you to share that information with us.

The UCC Women's Endowment Fund was created to provide for leadership development opportunities in the programs related to women over and above what basic support provides.
Making a gift to this will help assure funds for programming of vital importance to women now and in the future.

MyUCC Justice for Women
A place for conversation with women about issues concerning women and justice.
Across the world and throughout the United States, human beings are forced into labor, exploited in commercial sexual enterprises, and moved across national or state borders against their will, frightened and terrorized into silence. Trafficking in persons is the 3rd largest illegal trade business around the world (drugs and small arms lead the way). Women and children make up 80% of those trafficked.

Each year UCCWM picks a theme related to women – economic justice, healthcare, etc and local churches wishing to start programs related to that theme can apply for a grass roots grant of up to $500. It must have matching money from two other places (at least) local church, association, community organizations, etc. A year-end report back form is required inemizing how the money was used, whether the project was a success and will it be ongoing.
The Victims Assistance Fund is an opportunity for familes, with conference support, to receive up to $500 toward counseling for actions related to sexual misconduct in a local church.
Blessing Boxes
As we begin a new year and consider making personal and spiritual changes in our lives, if you don’t currently use a blessing box please consider doing so. Blessing boxes can be found in the homes and offices of women across the church to enable them to express their gratitude for everyday blessings through giving to others. For those who participate, it is a spiritual discipline even more than a financial one. It helps keep a focus on gratitude to God and on the responsibility to share blessings with others. The amount dropped in the box is not nearly as important as the discipline of regularly remembering God’s goodness through the acts of dropping in coins and praying prayers of thanksgiving.
Blessing Boxes are available from United Church of Christ Resources 800.537.3394
Church Women United -- National Council of Churches
Church Women United (CWU) is a national volunteer Christian ecumenical women’s movement initiated and carried out by women in the United States and Puerto Rico. It is a movement that brings together women of diverse races, cultures and traditions in closer Christian fellowship, prayer, advocacy, and action for peace with justice in the world. CWU engages millions of women representing twenty-six supporting denominations and participating Christian women.
The International Fellowship of the Least Coin (IFLC) is a worldwide ecumenical movement of prayer for peace and reconciliation. Persons in this movement make a commitment to spend time in prayer, and to uphold in prayer others who are victims of jealousy, hatred, violence, and injustice to the family, community, nation, and the world. Every time one prays, she sets aside a “least coin” of her currency as a tangible token of her prayer. Church Women United is the custodian for FLC offerings in the United States.
